The Team out and about...

Made Equal are a UK based NGO that advocates for gender equality, and believes that more needs to be done prevent violence against women and girls. We aim to give young adults in their 20's and 30's a platform to be engaged in the journey of ending gender inequality by: speaking out, conducting and producing research, engaging in intergenerational dialogues, running training programmes and workshops, and individually promoting change. A key part of this is working with men and boys to achieve equality in a way that is sensitive to and respectful of women and their experiences.

We believe that gender inequality must be addressed and that involving young adults and young professionals, in advocacy, programming and policy, is essential to doing this.

1. We engage young adults and young professionals through education, workshops, trainings, online campaigns, and general awareness raising. 2. We create a platform for young adults and young professionals to voice opinions and challenge: social norms, societal values, policies and legislation. We work locally, nationally and internationally. 3. We involve men in a way that is safe and respectful of women, empowering them to become agents of change for gender equality and male allies. 4. We promote preventative measures to eliminate violence against women.

We work independently and also work in collaboration with other projects and partners

We welcome new volunteers and support on particular projects and events. However, we want to involve people in a meaningful way and at this stage we do have a limited capacity, so please be aware that we cannot always take on new volunteers to the core team.
